Contact

This page explains what this site can and cannot help with, and what should be kept out of any message. The box at the end of this page states whether a direct contact channel is open.

What a message could cover once a channel is open

  • A technical error in a guide, with the section and what you believe is wrong.
  • A suggestion for a topic or an example that would have helped you.
  • A question about how the readiness assessment arrives at its result.
  • Interest in an email security review. There is no booking system, price list or service description on this site yet, so this is an enquiry about whether such a conversation is possible, not an order.

What this site cannot do

  • It cannot look at your domain, your DNS records or your mail settings, and it will not be given access to them. Verify your records with your own DNS tools and your own admin consoles.
  • It cannot respond to an active incident. If you suspect a mailbox is compromised or money has been sent, contact your bank and your IT provider first. The business email compromise guide has a first-hour checklist.
  • It cannot give legal, regulatory or insurance advice.

What you must never send

Never send passwords, MFA codes, recovery codes, tokens, session cookies, private keys, API keys, or the content of email messages, whether in a message to us or anywhere on this site. We do not need any of them to answer a question, and we will not use any that arrive. If you need to describe a problem, describe the setting and what you saw, not the secret.

Describe records and settings with the real values replaced by examples, and describe a suspicious message by its structure instead of pasting it.

How to reach us

There is no form on this page. Nothing you enter in the readiness assessment leaves your browser. The only other thing on the site that sends text to the server is the search box on the 404 and search-results pages, which sends your search words to this website so it can find pages. Whether a direct contact channel is open is stated in the box at the end of this page.

Direct contact

No direct contact channel is open yet, so there is no address to write to. If that changes, it will be listed here.
